Rajanya is a graduate student at Texas A&M university. Her research primarily involves developing new quantum dynamics methods which includes non-Markovian master equation approach.

Rajanya completed her Bachelor’s in Chemistry with honors from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, where she was awarded the Fr. Lafont Scholarship for excellent academic performance in her undergrad. She did her Masters in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay under the supervision of Prof. Gopalan Rajaraman, where she worked on interpreting mechanistic cycle of C-H activation by Fe based non heme enzymes and studying the effect of explicit solvation on biomimetic models using electronic structure methods.
